Gaon Chart Award 2016 atau yang ke-6 baru aja digelar pada 22 Februari 2017. Acara ini termasuk salah satu acara penghargaan musik paling bergengsi lo di Korea. Para pemenang dipilih berdasarkan data penjualan lagu dan album para musisi Korea, bukan berdasarkan popularitas semata dan hanya beberapa katagori yang berdasarkan voting dari Kpopers.
